Someone tried to break into my friend's Model 3 in a parking garage in the Loop last month. Here's what happened."
They walked up, looked around of course, tried the door handle. Sentry Mode activated. The cameras lit up. The alarm went off. They ran.
And here's what most people don't know, Sentry Mode saves a clip automatically. He had full video of the guy's face. The license plate of the car they left in. Everything.
He didn’t send it to me yet, but a story worth learning from.
To turn it on: Controls → Safety → Sentry Mode. That's it. Takes ten seconds.
it does use a little battery, like 1 to 2 miles per hour when it's on. So maybe don’t turn it on at home, but in a city garage? In a sketchy lot? Leave it on. Always.
